As I have already discussed with finesim, we would like to add resources to our dimension that actually have a reason to exist. My proposal for this is to add ceramics that require limestone/chalk (see issue "Materials from the new Dimension") and clay (which should be producable in some way, because clay mining is annoying).
These ceramics would be a replacement for metals in machine frames, as they even in real life are often whats giving structure to machines that work under high temperatures or stresses. They could, in fact, be used with everything that requires some heat or pressure shielding and make an excellent blast resistant block.
