1.18.2 Sophisticated Backpacks - new stacks when stacks already exist

I have a modpack that has a strange issue. Whenever I have Apotheosis and Dungeons Libraries installed, items I pick up in my backpack from Sophisticated Backpacks will start new stacks before stacking in pre-existing stacks. I can sort the backpack and everything will stack up properly but then new items picked up will result in same issue of making new stacks.

(I have removed all mods in the mod pack and the problem persists even with just dungeons libraries, Apotheosis, and Sophisticated Backpacks)
