I too face a similar issue. Is there a prescribed way to record the audio? I'm recording a 1KHz sine wave. While playing back, it sounds to be distorted.

My test setup is IM69D130 microphone shied coupled with XMC2GO.

Adding to the previous comment... When I take FFT of the sample wav file which recorded a 1KHz sinusoidal wave, I get a peak at 500Hz. What could be the reason for this behavior? Please let me know if you need additional details.
