The issue was believed to be SW based, but as it turns out it was HW. To communicate with the onboard sensor on the TLV493D-A1B6 MS2GO you need to provide power on the sensor with what used to be LED2 pin. There was a change in HW which is not exactly matched in SW, as they are for general XMC1100 2GO boards.
