InfiniTime >1.11 does not connect to Gadgetbridge via BLE

Reproduction steps
I just received a PineTime, which came with InfiniTime 1.11. Everything seems to be functioning fine. When I update to Anything > 1.11 (including the latest 1.14), the watch fails to connect again via GadgetBridge (v0.80) on my Android phone. When I reset back to 1.11 things work fine. When I do an OTA update to 1.10, the PineTime connects to GadgetBridge just fine too, but I cannot successfully get anything higher than 1.11 (what the PineTime came with) to connect. It says bluetooth is enabled, but on gadgetbridge it just constantly says "connecting".
I didn't click verify, as I'm afraid to get stuck on a version that I can't get working. So for now I keep dropping back to 1.11.

I have tried updating from Watchlink (linux) and InfiniLink (iOS) and gotten the same results where there PineTime can no longer connect to any device when above 1.11 (tried using 1.14)
