Checklist (Your issue will be automatically closed if you delete this part)

Describe the bug Player shows English(India) [which is my Default content language] as an option available for Captions/Subtitles, when they originally don't exist for that video. Checked with YouTube App on Android and YouTube Web on Android/Windows.

Steps to reproduce the bug

  1. Open any video.
  2. Enable the Captions/Subtitles and it will show English(India) along with Autogenerated and No Captions.
  3. If you'll select English(India) no captions are visible, as they don't exist.

Device Samsung Galaxy M21 OneUI Core 4.1 - Android 12

Additional context Occurs for every video which has autogenerated captions in it. I tried with videos in English and Hindi audio.

I haven't set it, Default content language is set to System default.

An update on the issue, if I manually select English(US) as Default content language then the issue is fixed.

Then it is expected as auto-translation only support some of language variants.
