Surely you know about this already, but it's just such a big problem, especially for GDR's. The AI just spams planes and GDR's until it can't anymore and it's having a huge deficit of aluminium/uranium per turn.

Unless if you wanna build nukes, it's a decent strategy to start building as many GDRs as you can while you have a stockpile of uranium. Despite the -20 hp you get from depleted resources, GDRs still remain an unmatchable force in late game, especially so for defensive purposes. Put one in a city, and it'd make capturing that city next to impossible since that -20 hp doesn't apply in that case.
