Catapult paralysis - is it still an issue? #5

The tactical AI had 4 catapults within range of a city i just captured from them. But they just kept shuffling the units around the city and not directly targeting the city. Easy pickings for my archer

I think Firaxis fixed this in the first Leader Pass update, I have not seen this happen since and I watch a lot of AI games.

Edit: Nevermind, it happened again. AI declared war and surrounded a city with multiple siege units but did not fire them for some reason. The units just moved back and forth in place. Once an enemy unit approaches, they shoot, but for some reason they didn't want to attack the walled city they were surrounding. Sorry for the the limited context, I just remembered it.

One thing that does still happen though is the AI not knowing how to get their siege units in range when there are hills/forests in the way (so they would have to move to a different angle or stand directly next to the city). They just move in and out of range and never attack.
