The Bing maps UI isn't in the best position. I think the following would make the map easier to work with, more intuitive, and visually appealing.
Move the UI out of the Map area, make larger. Place preferably in a similar space like the Oculus Quest menu to avoid having to bend neck so far down.
I can't see what the current location is, and what I'm typing. My boyfriend tried the Bing map out - got frustrated and gave up because he couldn't see where he was and what was typing. In the video, you can see me trying to zoom out as I pull the menu out of the bing maps. He gave up working with the map at this point because he couldn't get to Houston, TX.
Having longitude and lat. is okay, but I'd prefer suggestions as I type instead. I don't know lat and long of anything to be honest, and I am guessing here - but I think we want the users to stay immersed and work fluidly - less friction.
The white keyboard that pops up to enter the city, gave my boyfriend the impression he can poke the keys with his fingers - like Byldr's project menu. I'd like to test out making the keyboard bigger, but placing it beneath the Bing Map UI if it were brought out - like the Oculus Quest menu when you type.
Overall, that little white keyboard feels nice to have so close, but It's confusing because I can't poke it with my hand, and I have to take extra steps back in order to get the little nodes going. Other times, it's missing the white stripe at the top which allows me to move if I need to.
An idea for the white keyboard placement: (I feel like this would work better because I don't have to bend neck so far, and I also don't feel the impulse to reach for the keyboard to touch with my hands due to distance.)
