The phone starts to slow down considerably as soon as the application connects to the server.

Guys, can you provide more information according this issue.

Model and vendor of cellphone;
Android version;
3G or Wifi;
comparing to what ather apps based on openssl we can see that our app is working slowly?
what means "working slow"? How it can be replicated?

HTC One Mini 2 Android 5.0.2 WiFi Have not compared to other apps To replicate try to run OpenProfile, open a couple of sites in browser, take a screenshot of working OpenProfile. Had to reboot to get screenshots.
