From what I can tell, as a fellow Apple Silicon user, Monolingual no longer works. It's a file system thing. Apple has locked us out.
works for me under Sonoma on a 2021 MacBook Pro 14" machine
Apple MacBook pro 14", M2 pro under Sonoma 14.2 I look for comments that explain what Monolingual designed for Mac Intel can do for an Apple M chip, even though Apple has locked down access to the system. and I only see this thread that testifies that it still works... I've loaded the latest version 1.8.2 and can confirm: Monolingual is doing its job... it has purged 2.35 Gb of fonts that I'll never use (except for English and French, in my case). As a confirmation test... I ran Monolingual a second time, and it found nothing more to purge! Thanks to Ingmar Stein.

Sonoma 14.3 beta works like a charm! but hope the new universal update comes out soon!
Still broken. Can't install helper application on Apple Silicon Macs.
I'm unclear whether Monolingual is supposed to work on Apple Silicon Macs. I see you're still working on the project but haven't released a version publicly since 1.8.2. I found your link to 1.9.0 but had the same issue with the helper utility. I even gave Monolingual full disk access but that hasn't helped.
Anything else I should know about using the utility on my M1 iMac or must I be patient for your continued development?
