May be possible editing the Phoenix cockpit asset?
I don't know if that is the smarter solution for this problem (cosmetic).
This not affect too much in gameplay, but make the HUD element usign Phoenix looks bad.
This is not too far important but I want you know about this.

The cockpit of Phoenix don't hide his 3D element of left hud and right hud when you close this.
