Green Orb? #36

It dropped when my ship exploded. I had never seen it before in my entire life. What is that? By the way, my Quad Cannon disappeared... Wasn't it replaced with that orb? Screenshot007

this happened to me too, when my ship explode. this green orb cant interact with the enviroment, so we cant take it. https://youtu.be/ETdnYWT7dWo

No matter what I do I can't reproduce this, I've tried many potential error conditions, like saving and then reloading while quads are in my inventory, both within the same session and across two game sessions, or I've tried going across levels with quads, and I always drop my quads.

I've never seen a hoard orb (what that object is) get spewed. I'm trying to think of what's common between the two sessions where this was observed

may reproduce it using an old save files from vanilla descent 1.5, thats its my case. on the video i've ovewrrited a slot, and when i accidentally shot a fragment missile close to a door, my entire ship explode in a violent way (🤣) and thats it, the green orb appears. even when homonculus defeatme the green orb appears many many times.

so i think you need to use an old savefile? i can share my own, but right now im going to my work.
