We already have this code.  It just needs to be integrated into trunk.  We 
should also probably 
rename the existing Standard GPS type to SIRF to be more accurate.

NMEA support has has been updated from what exists in its own branch to a 
version that builds which is now in trunk. this requires testing from somebody 
who has the appropriate hardware.
