Version number for packaging? #8

HI. I'd like to package this very useful software for Debian. I can't find any sign of a version number. Does it have one? If not would you care to do a release tarball (and call it 0.1 or 1.0 or something suitable?). If not, do you care to just pick a number to use and put in a git tag? It seems that the software is pretty stable, so 1.0 might be as good a version as any at this stage?

I may have other comments once I start packaging.

OK. I found a version string in the package. V3.0.2 so that's sorted.
