This project is deprecated and unmaintained. You should use https://github.com/kirill-grouchnikov/substance Fixes made on Insubstantial were introduced too on Substance latest versions.
I indeed cherry-picked a few small bug fixes from Insubstantial when I came back to Substance a year ago. I have not kept track of the more significant changes over the lifespan of Insubstantial.
If there's anything specific that you would like to see, file feature requests in Substance's bug tracker. I do have some strong opinions on what I want to see in there, so no promises.
Is there an interest to resurrect this project to establish a proper mavenized build and push to Maven? Since this is explicitly refused to be done in the substance project it would maybe be a good place here to get it done since this project already had Maven uploads. Otherwise another fork is probably needed to make it happen which would add to the confusion that already exists.
I don't see any need to resurrect this as long as KG is maintaining his official version.
I believe he has no objection to other people uploading the jar files to Maven repositories, though I don't plan to do it.
By the way, several years ago I made my own branch of Insubstantial because I had to fix a bug after the maintainer stopped work on it. I recently tried to use that again but couldn't get the Gradle build script to work in my current environment. If anyone does revive this, I'd hope they would create Ant or Maven build scripts.
Is there some summary document that lists the differences and advantages of this project versus the one it was forked off from? Are improvements meant to get merged back into substance?
