NOT AN ISSUE JUST A CHAT Well, Kind of a Issue #50

Hey Helter, I could not get integra to load (most likely my end of things net sucks today).

But anyhow, that IM151 you posted in a thread there at integra and asked us to install, I finally did it today.

Server specs are:

WAMP Stack Apache 2.4.3 php: 5.6.25 mySQL: 5.7.14

On install, chmod knew right away I as not on a linux box, Nice Next, install went flawless, no ban issues what so ever that included installation of Prill. Set user info in profile went ok. Portal page is a no go. Has a bad block or something. I thought for some odd reason it ws referers so I tried to deactivate the refers block via the IM Portal Config area in the ACP and got the following on submit to deactivate the block:

Could not insert data into blocks table

DEBUG MODE

SQL Error : 1054 Unknown column 'title_image' in 'field list'

UPDATE phpbb_blocks SET title = 'Referers', title_image = '', bposition = 'c', active = '0', type = '0', cache = '1', cache_time = '12250', content = '', block_bbcode_uid = '', blockfile = 'blocks_imp_referers', layout = '1', view = '0', border = '1', titlebar = '1', openclose = '1', local = '1', background = '1', groups = '' WHERE bid = 18

Line : 628 File : admin_blocks.php

I then went in to my phpMyAdmin and shut down the block from there and it still was a no go so maybe another block is on the fritz. Is there any other block you want me to try and shut down or do you need me to try any other tests for you on this particular version? This one is the one you posted in that thread and asked us to do a install of and try out.

By the way, not sure that it matters, when I installed, I set it to mysqli.

Dare I mark that as a bug here, as I am not sure if that version is the same as the one here on Git. But none the less I label it as a bug and a Question both.

Take care fellas. Let me know if there are any other tests you need with this particular version before I tear it down to make way for the next test.

IntegraMOD commented 7 years ago

the install got reverted. Add this title_image varchar(255) NOT NULL DEFAULT '', to phpbb_blocks after title varchar(60) NOT NULL default '',

also check that you have openclose tinyint(1) NOT NULL default '1',

the block error was fixed at on time but I somehow undid the fix o.0 for now, disable the referrer block.

im.com is down till tuesday. The server is having issues since the last WHM/Cpanel update. The root partition keeps filling up to 100% so I disabled all non critical accounts till my LMP guy can do a permanent fix.

MWE001 commented 7 years ago

Ok I'll check that out and get that added to the DB. Referer block is disabled for sure.

And filling to 100%? Now that is a nice little trick lol. I never saw that issue before when i was fiddling with servers. I was a FreeBSD guy and Direct Admin. I learned I like Cpanel WHM much better.

MWE001 commented 7 years ago

I'm not sure of my status on this one anymore. I think I have upgraded installs since. Ill check for sure but I believe it has been fixed? If so we can close this.

vendethiel commented 7 years ago

Can you confirm? :)

MWE001 commented 7 years ago

Sorry for such a slow reply. I had a catastrophic failure on my PC and have lost all my projects I had on WAMP.

I need a link to the most recent one you guys have available so I can try it out again. I got real far behind on my projects and jobs when pc crashed and am just now catching up.

So if you want to shoot me a link to the most recent version I'll gladly give it a install and trial run. I been itching to take a integra install for a spin again.

vendethiel commented 7 years ago

You mean 1.5.1, the one in this git?

Here's a github zip

MWE001 commented 7 years ago

I'll give that one a go. I'm just so far behind I wasn't sure if this one here was up to date of if you and helter had a stash over at integra.

MWE001 commented 7 years ago

Hey fellas, I know I was tinkering with this last year and you guys jumped in as well and I jumped ship it seemed. Well long story short, my PC sucks! 2 hard drive failures in under a year and both times I lost loads of files most recently a month ago.

Got a new computer now and am playing with code again here and there. And for the record, the new phpBB sucks. I never in my wildest days thought i would say that. I sincerely wish phpBB2 could be brought up to date with php versions but I don't see that happening. So what to do now days?

Hope you guys are doing well. Me, I'm ok. Sitting here enjoying a severly bad back and can barely walk anymore. Tinkering with code on the side.

vendethiel commented 7 years ago

Hey,

There are a few issues I've been awaiting answers to:

MWE001 commented 7 years ago

I was messing around today just to get back in to the swing of things and I found a load of mysql errors on Icy install (windows errored out, installed fine on linux). I wonder if Integra is going to do the same thing.

Not sure where you guys do your developing ( live server or stack such a LAMP or WAMP) but I do all mine on WAMP before sending to a live server.

Question is there a Integra version that is the latest build you and Helter have put together that I can try a test install on to try out WAMP? I am guessing strict mode is on by default on MySQL and going to cause errors for us stack guys.

vendethiel commented 7 years ago

Reinstalled Integra to do some more testing.

vendethiel commented 7 years ago

I need to update my MAMP with mysql 8 and php 7 and test some more

vendethiel commented 7 years ago

I fixed many issues I found, and optimized it (+ cached) a great deal. I might've broken some stuff, but I fixed what I found along the way when I did testing.

MWE001 commented 7 years ago

Hi guys. I didnt forget about anyone. My dad passed away and I have been dealing with him and hi estate, Very trying times as he was not prepared. That being said, I will be back from Chicago in a day or two and ready to roll! I hope you guys are doing well.

vendethiel commented 7 years ago

I'm sorry to hear that. My condolences & kind wishes.

MWE001 commented 7 years ago

Messy situation going on my way fellas but still giving it a try in my off times. I saw many posts come in through Git via my email but simply could not reply to them at the time.

MWE001 commented 6 years ago

Hello Fellas! Hope all is well. Not bad here. Getting by. You guys?

vendethiel commented 6 years ago

Same. Just graduated, taking some time off after the storm.

MWE001 commented 6 years ago

I don't blame you there. I graduated again in April and all holy hell broke lose in life but .. Moving forward :-)

So I fiddled with some Integramod today, refugees version and icy as well.

I am not sure why Luca still has it installing on such old sql and whatever you do dont try an install on pho 7.2.4 lol

vendethiel commented 6 years ago

Wow, that's amazing! Congrats to you.

My last pull request to Icy should have fixed the 7.2 compatibility. Are you using the GIT version?

MWE001 commented 6 years ago

yep. I grabbed the version from Git. I forked it and then cloned it to open with my desktop Git. I then used them files to run a install. I then went right to git and downloaded a zip file and same result. Let me revisit that one one more time and I will let you know in the proper place what is happening with that.

vendethiel commented 5 years ago

I just realize I made a big mistake. Apparently when I posted commit "IM1.5.1" ae0baecc3752254147e083054467ab42e3217aa0 some things were lost. I don't remember exactly what happened... I think these are the files Helter posted? But some things went wrong

example: functions_categories_hierarchy.php went from version 1.0.2 to version 1.0.7 which is good, but it seems some mod code disappeared (Keep Unread Flags disappeared from the file!). I need to check if:

I only realized because the installation for Teelk's mod required to find some // keep unread flags lines lol

vendethiel commented 5 years ago

Oh: I just noticed that the Approve Mod hda the same treatment in that file...

IntegraMOD commented 5 years ago

I just noticed the readme file associated with IM150. To my knowledge no files came from phpBB refugees. Approx 80% of the 2.0.23 to 2.0.24 code came from phpbb’s svn and area51. Michealo helped me finish some of it and the rest came from phpBB Doctor and Acidburn. I don’t know if refugees ever released an update. I would even go so far as to call it 2.0.25 because it was far beyond 2.0.24 even before vendethiel rebuilt much of it and brought it current.

MWE001 commented 5 years ago

Yeah I believe when I added that in, there was no read me and I was the only one in sight. I hated to see files sitting with no kudos. I saw thr 2.0.24 files and had never saw them anywhere before other than refugees thus my assumption of the version.

I actually should have brought that up long ago. I'm glad you pointed that out so kudos can go to who they rightfully belong to. :-)

vendethiel commented 5 years ago

I’m of a half-mind to completly remove SIDs. They’re awful and serve no purpose, except to support ole’ PHP3 (yes, PHP3). PHP has had built-in session support since PHP4, which doesn’t use SQL.

The only thing it’d affect would be the viewonline, since it relies on session data. My fix to that in EzArena (where I eliminated SID in URLs) was to keep a last_updated_db_table in PHP’s session mechanism, and update phpbb_sessions only when that timer reached 5 minutes. That means we save a lot of SQL query (currently the sessions table is updated on every single page load), and the viewonline keeps working normally.

That’s hoping PCP doesn’t touch sessions stuff though lol

Someone could make an argument about keeping SIDs in admin, however.

MWE001 commented 5 years ago

Hey fellas. Tried to give a shout over at the site but I believe php has upgraded on the server and broke the website; it wont accept a post from me.

My laptop has fizzled out on me and I lost pretty much everything I was working on. My desktop is a piece of crap that barely even boots anymore. So for now I am PC-less. I am trying to hustle up funds to get a new one but with only one of the two of us working, it is rather rough. So for now until Neurosurgeon clears me it is a bunch of PS4 and hoping for the best ( or a miracle PC falls from the sky and lands safely beside me ready to go :-D )

Take care fellas!

vendethiel commented 5 years ago

I’m currently moving to a foreign country, so no work for me in the meantime!

Also, I hate administrative stuff.

Take care!

MWE001 commented 4 years ago

How did the big move go Ven?

vendethiel commented 4 years ago

Settled, new flat, bank acc, transport card, etc. The hardest part is finding pals to hang out with when you don’t speak their language :-). Are you doing yourself?

It’s funny you post here, I just reinstalled my PHP setup last week thinking of toying with IM

MWE001 commented 4 years ago

I'm getting along. Major health issues since last talked but still kicking. ;-) I'm working on getting a decent PC going again. Getting tired of sitting on the PS4 constantly anymore. I like it but it gets old sometimes.

And I feel for ya on the language barrier. That has to be rough to say the least.

vendethiel commented 4 years ago

Health first, always.

Been toying with a few things to tweak in IM. I think connecting via social networks is important, but I also realized I dont have any socials (...except github), so I dont know yet what Im gonna toy with.

MWE001 commented 4 years ago

Yeah I agree. Real important now a days (social media login) even though social media has basically brought all forum type boards down and offline forever. A forum must have REAL good content or be outrageously well established to make it anymore.

vendethiel commented 4 years ago

yeah, that's why I've been thinking for a while to add a "facebook wall"-like page. You get updates on posts that you've participated on (or watch). I added a system to automatically refresh new answers from threads to Icy Phoenix a few years ago but it's not as good.
