Chart Group 5: ESG Performance

Chart 1: Title: Average ESG Score per Company by Scope and Year Description: This chart illustrates the average ESG score per company, segmented by ESG scope and year. To calculate the ESG Score per Company and Year, the actual values of each ESG metric was ranked for each year, meaning that better performance on a metric will conclude to higher ranking. After that, the weight of each metric is calculated based on the coverage of the metric in the dataset. The higher the coverage of the metric, the higher its weight and all the weights sum up to 1. Finally, the weight is multiplied with the ranking and the final Score for each metric per Company and Year is calculated.
