Try to use Ubuntu rather than Windows.

I am currently using it for Unreal Engine and Aximmetry so Ubuntu is not an option. Any other ideas? Should I try with the USB External Hub or is this a different issue?

Yes. Try with the USB External Hub. How much RAM do you have?

I purchased a new powered USB External 3.1 hub - and still it doesn't want to work. I have 32GB of ram - should I at this point assume that it is broken and I should get a replacement?
