I'd like to expand upon this because RFID and Magstrip cards are one of my favorite toys to have in Minecraft, especially with a ComputerCraft focus.

Specific changes for RFID compared to Immibis Version

• RFID "holding" functionality where using the item on a reader returns a much lower distance than possible standing next to it. This is to improve speed as speed is proportionate to disatnce as well as make readers that require the user "tap" it like a magstrip. This is nice so that I can use the same RFID card for nearby checks as a security badge that must be intentionally used.

Specific changes for Magstrip compared to Immibis Version

• I'd like to see card read + write (or update) functionality so that a card can have it's data read and written to without the user simply inserting a second card for the write part.

Changes to both compared to Immibis Version

• Some decorative way to tell cards apart outside just coloring a piece of them and naming them. Even if it was just a small selection of alternate styles.
• The ability to "sign" a card, which is unique to the player who is writting it. Basically just ensures you can make cards that for all intents are not copyable because it stores the user ID of the signer on it. Could be used for example for making ID cards for your base that can not be created by a 3rd party to gain access even if they read the card you gave them at some point.
