If you've played OpenComputers, you'll know about drones. They're light weight flying computers which can hold only a few peripherals and which were a pain in the ass to program.
As much as I'd love to subject players to the grind of constantly replacing EEPROMs every time you wanted to test a new program, I dont think that's in the spirit of Computercraft.
So, my idea is to introduce drones as an alternative to turtles. Like turtles, drones can use tools and move around the world. Unlike turtles, drones have limited inventory space and are entities, not blocks. They have momentum, and can even be pushed around. Flight will require fuel as well (maybe blaze powder?).
