Peripheral provider for Ender Storage and maybe similar mods #41

Describe your idea

The ability for computers to change the channel of Ender Storage's ender chests and tanks as well as those from similar mods.

The mods:

I don't mind which mod, I just would like the ability to have control over channels. If you can get it to assign player ownership from turtles placing it (inheriting the turtle's owner) then even better.

A thing to consider is that people can make (and have in previous peripheral mods) automated systems that steal items from all the channels via one ender chest, the personal system would fix this but somewhat limit it.

Use Case: I'm investigating making a mod pack where turtles are the only things allowed on a server, which means that players are not able to configure any modded blocks.

The Digital Items mod could function as a CC specific ender chest.

Use Case: I'm investigating making a mod pack where turtles are the only things allowed on a server, which means that players are not able to configure any modded blocks.

Side comment: PP have ability for more CC like item transfer with enderwire network, that allows you to build "wired" network even interdimensional.

Side comment 2: I am not sure, but turtles can use player ender chest?..

But, any case, I guess, this can be a cool addition.

Vanilla ones, I'm fairly sure that's a no.

But I did check if the inventory methods appear for each of these mods and they do (except for the tesseract, but I think I would have just needed to create a channel on that first).

Edit: As for PP, I'm not that much a fan of its 'flavour'. PP doesn't feel very CC ish. I'm currently wanting to keep the pack fairly vanilla with just a few popular convenience mods that are in most packs.

Well, I have checked sometime ago and it should be able to use ender chest due to owner propagation. I can be incorrect, but it better to check ...

Vanilla ender chests do not show as peripherals and are not recognised as an inventory via turtle.drop. The ender chest was placed by the same player as the turtle.

This is expected behaviour I belive.

Just remembered about digital items which could do the same thing for CC that players use ender chests for.

I guess that I don't need this AP to have this feature for my mod pack then, although I can see people liking this feature.

Would be nice to have a "creative" turtle with up to 3 remote inventories (of items) associated with up to 3 ender chest, with different channels; or just a single one, with the ability to switch programmatically. This way an unlimited inventory could be available to the turtle.

I've talked to the dev and made a PR for the DimStorage integration, which already got merged and will become available in 0.8r
