Neural Interface #48

Open MrNaru300 opened 2 years ago

MrNaru300 commented 2 years ago

Describe your idea

The Neural Interface would allow you to control and upgrade yourself or other entities like a turtle The idea comes from the Neural Interface from Plethora.

Describe alternatives you've considered if you've any

Another alternative would be Nanomachines from OpenComputers. It would be able to get information about an entity when applied to it.

I would love to see this feature realised. Something is special about strapping a neural interface to a cow and having it hunt creepers with a laser. This is the reason I loved plethora. If it was implemented I'd like to see:

  1. Control the AI of the mob

  2. Set the aim direction, and be able to select a block for the mob to pathfind to. Or atleast set a direction to begin walking .

  3. Being able to get the health of the entity it controls.

  4. if possible have a function to release the neural interface. Something like interface.remove()

  5. Being able to add other peripherals into the interface like what is possible with plethora.

  6. Get the velocity of the entity preferably with it relating to world xyz. So falling is -y and up +y and so on.

  7. Bat integration so we can have spy bats.

Please make this happen, and thanks for the great mod!

Already on the 0.8 milestone Bumping does not speed up the process

Fair enough. Btw is there any planned release date for 0.8?

SirEndii commented 1 year ago

Sadly not I currently work a bit more on AP, but it'll need some time I guess 2 or more months

awesomebossdj7 commented 1 year ago

you could port over plethora to forge, and copy the code

prob not a good idea, just use your own code lol

SirEdvin commented 1 year ago

You can't, because a lot of things changed from 1.12. Espesically in entity AI

SirEndii commented 1 year ago

There is a 1.19.2 Plethora Version But yeah, that idea just sounds wrong
