This assignment is for a revised version of Figure 1.

This assignment is for a figure in your paper. It is the first figure that you turn in, but it does not have to be Figure 1 of your paper. It is possible to turn in either a workflow or a data figure. Only one workflow schematic can be turned in during the semester.
If your figure is a data figure, you must also turn in your code used to generate the figure. This code must be fully generalized and not include hard coded file paths to a personal computer. You will 'turn this in' by including a link to your GitHub code within the figure legend.
You will be graded on the following criteria
aesthetic quality of presentation (20 points)
color
distinction between data points, data series
size, proportion
resolution
etc.
clarity of message (40 points)
appropriate data, axis labels
validity of statistics
best graphing method for data and purpose
etc.
legend/caption (20 points)
describes the data and main significant findings
etc.
relevance of message to advancing the topic of the paper (20 points)
