Should there be an error code that allows site blocking? #44

On of the error codes I created is: Ad not playable on web site. The ad cannot play on the given site.

This introduces site blocking.

Are we saying that SIVIC will also support client-side blocking for invalid traffic, brand safety etc? I believe in the VAST group it was mentioned that this would probably fall in OMID domain.

Andre thinks that this is an ad blocking issue. It needs to be addressed on a higher level (like VAST or ad server).

Assigned to me to remove mention of any ad blocking error codes.

Ad blocking doesn't seem relevant in context of SIVIC. Ad blocking is an exclusive to verification service feature. Hence, it may occur prior to SIVIC to be even loaded.

In the future ad blocking will be addressed on VAST specs level.

Ad not playable on web site. The ad cannot play on the given site for technical reasons, reflecting some incompatibility between the requirements of the creative and the capabilities of the playback environment.

dropping for now b/c of concerns about it being used for blocking purposes.

not sure why this error would be be used more than any other. illegitimate actors don't need to pick the most relevant error to accomplish their goals.
