Rework timeout—maybe use what you did instead? #129

Sorry, @jmaj—I think my timeout doesn't work as well as yours did. Could you re-add that back in (it wasn't tracked in GitHub, so I can't find the code). We only need to worry about this on the non-Web version.

Whatever you do on What are prisons for, we also need to do on Postcards.
