[1] Set timeline start time on timeline to earliest entry #207

Tasks:

Original Comments: When I go to the Timeline and filter by category, by default, I am shown the 1600s. However, many categories don't have entries in that timeframe, so the Timeline just looks blank and there is no indication that I can scroll to see entries.

Is this possible?: When I click on a filter, the timeline reloads and starts in the timeframe where the first entry is for that category.

ALSO Some categories don't have entries for big spans of time. Is it possible to 'compress' those big blank spans of time down visually, so they are just smaller sections to scroll through?

I don't think we can dynamically compress time periods the way she's asking for in that last comment.

We tried to set timeline entry starting points but it's not working properly
