[1] Delete/cancel screen overlaying the annotation box #693

After an annotation is placed in one of the markup activities, it creates an invisible delete button to its right. When clicked, the delete prompt appears with nothing behind it, which is difficult to read, as it is white and transparent.

This only occurs on desktop browsers and some tablets, where the screen is wide enough that the text editor for each annotation is placed next to the annotation instead of centered on the screen. Phones have a different layout which does not seem to produce invisible buttons.

Platform: Windows, Mac, iOS, Android Model: Aurora R6, iMac, iPad R, Google Pixel C OS: Windows 10, OS X, iOS 10.3.3, Android 8.0 Browser: Chrome 63, Firefox 57, Edge 41, IE 11, Safari 10.1.1, mobile Safari 602

To recreate 1 Go to a markup activity (listed above) on a large screen (desktops or certain tablets) 2 Dismiss the introductory message and choose a resource 3 Place an annotation 4 Click away from the annotation so that its text editor disappears 5 If on desktop, move the mouse around to the right of the annotation until the cursor changes to a hand. If on tablet, click around that area. See the attached video for its usual relative position. 6 When the invisible button is clicked, the delete prompt appears, though it may be hard to read as nothing is behind it. The “delete” and “cancel” buttons function as expected.
