During discussions concerning the specifications for a device PKI as an identity provider, we have been wondering whether there will need to be some kind of UpdateRepositories from the developers of connectors. The use of those would be to provide the updates for the firmware/software on the connectors. According to my understanding, those could either be independent of the remaining IDS infrastructure and solely under the responsibility and control of the respective developers OR we could try to integrate them into the existing IDS infrastructure. What do you think?
