collecting 14C methods info? #125

Methods info for discussion below. Is ISRaD interested in preserving this info in a systematic way?

User-submitted question: I just wanted to check whether ISRaD wants data determined solely by AMS, or also by radiometric methods, which include liquid scintillation and gas counting (see link below). If so, is there or should there be a place in the template for specifying how radiocarbon content was determined? Thank you https://www.gns.cri.nz/Home/Services/Laboratories-Facilities/Rafter-Radiocarbon-Laboratory/Measuring-Radiocarbon/Radiometric-Counting

Answer: Yes, we collect radiocarbon data from any method if users feel the data is valuable. Currently there is no methods field, but we could consider capturing this information somewhere. Adding this is somewhat related to issue #92 . In general, how much methods info do we want? Or are we more focused on the data & associated uncertainty?

For now, please just add the methods information in the lyr_note or other relevant notes field, and make sure that the analytical uncertainty is reported as well. Thanks!
