Also there is no enable password / secret set, that means once I configure an IP address or DHCP and my nodes change from "UNREACHABLE" to "REACHABLE", I have to set a password before I can access my nodes in enable mode.
I start thinking that I am using the INE Virl Lab or Virl itself in a totally wrong way because there is no way that all these things are missing from the INE default configs in all the labs, right?
Highly grateful for any input how I can access my nodes without the "Telnet over WebSocket" option.
If you use VMMaestro to connect to the VIRL instance you can telnet directly to the console ports, and don’t have to worry about an interface with a management IP address.
Email me directly offline and we can talk more specifics if you’re still having issues.
Thanks!

Hi,
for my CCIE preparation I have the INE Workbook and currently I am trying to setup the VIRL Lab. I have successfully installed VIRL and imported the INE Lab via Github, however, I can currently only connect via the WebSocket telnet connection because all the nodes are UNREACHABLE.
I spent the whole day researching into VIRL and VMware switching to find a solution and currently I am at the point where I noticed that the problem seems to be the Gi0/0 interfaces of the virtual routers / switches. Via SSH I can connect to the LXC but from there on only if the Gi0/0 is cofigured via "ip address dhcp" and "no shutdown", but all the Gi0/0 interfaces are in "shutdown" by default.
Is this intended by INE? If so, why? And can someone tell me how to change this? I know I could probably edit the config files on all the routers, but it will take forever to do so for each of the different labs.
I am very grateful for each advice, since I want to start my lab preparation full time and this already costs me some time and nerves. :-)
Kind regards
