Why

A link back to proposal discussion to allow voters to verify that a governance action has gone through off-chain discussion.

What

Add link to proposal discussion forum proposal within the references field of the metadata attached to the governance action at submit time.

@Ryun1 This looks like it needs desiging. Can you put in a screenshot or diagram and show how the flows might be impacted?

IMO this should happen in the background when a proposer goes to submit their proposal as a GA. GovTool can automatically add the link to proposal discussion for the proposal to the GA metadata file.

@Ryun1 I misunderstood your issue. This is about adding a link into the metadata. Does GovTool currently display a link to the discussions in the "Voting" stage of a GA? I don't know and can't check now.

It doesnt, but if we were to add the link in as a "reference" then the link back to the PDF would be shown

We can simply make govtool add as the first link to GA on-chain the proposal link

Here is what I observed @Ryun1 @l-br1 @m-i-k-e Even though I have verified my identity, when I try to access the proposal directly, I am asked to verify my identity again. Im not sure whether that break some of your discussed and designated flows.
