Drone logistics sometimes loop, leaving ship through one drone bay then immediately coming back to same ship in another bay #304

Description

when i'm trying to deliver stuff to my ships through drones, sometimes the drones won't go to the receiving ship, instead they'll leave the bay at the sending ship only to go right into another bay on the same ship again. i have to dock ships together and cancel/remake the logistics order to make it work.

Seems to happen more when sending goods between multiple ships at once

Is it something that used to work before?

unknown, only played since A10

Expected behavior

expect drones to fly to the intended receiving ship

Actual behavior

drones loop round between two drone bays on the same ship without actually delivering to the intended ship.

Repro steps

unsure of exact steps, happens more when sending goods between multiple ships via drones. save file was saved while it is happening, drones looping on ship Galactica but was also happening on Gideon previously

The fleet is ready to jump, so the drones are scrambling back to base to avoid being left behind. Cancel the jump and they should start behaving normally.

Yes, that was it, thanks. Does seem like something that shouldn't happen this way though, they should return to base and stay there due to the jump, maybe something should tell players this is what is happening too?

Probably because the drone checks where it's going and realizes it needs to RTB after launch.
