i'm running your script now for few weeks and it has been flawless.
but i have 2 feature requests that would be very benificiail and i would not be the only one.
1: to implement a power offset for example:
my 900W device now turns only turns on when there is 900 W surplus
even though i had already a 2 hour surplus of 800W.
i rather want to pull 100W from the grid and have 2 hours extra charge or heating time.
2: to implement not only a dynamic current but also a step current.
like heating devices that have 3 different modes for example 750,1200 and 2000W
Just one feature request really. Implement an ability to react more quickly to loss of excess power (5-10 seconds would be ideal). My personal use case is as follows:
Wife brews many cups of tea throughout the day. Each kettle boil takes less than a minute. Based on my testing, this isn't long enough for the automation to trigger and turn off the EV charger, which means my wife won't trust the automation, and physically turns off the EV charger before each use of kettle, and of course many other household appliances, if the PV isn't outputting at least 4.2kwh.
