1. Past Iteration

• abstracted newsCard component so it can be reused in both the News page and stock details pages
  • News page
• reformatted layout for smaller displays (mobile or small browser windows)
• set checklist to always be displayed on large displays
• updated sources' logos
• miscellaneous changes (hide scroll bars, remove news card borders, change sources button)

2. Coming Iteration

• Make drag/drop more smooth, or disable it
• Make checklist sticky on large displays
• Refactor sources (now called 'filter') button so it takes up less space on small displays

3. Challenges

• Finding how to hide the scroll bars without disabling scrolling, and having this work for all browsers
  • Found many ways to implement this but most didn't work as intended

• Clean up, refactor, and restructure whole project
• Updated Navbar to fit mobile view better
• Used StockInfoTable to display watchlist items
• Made API that finds a list of watchlisted stocks using a string of tickers
• Enable Watchlist button and functions, update firebase collection when user adds/removes watchlist item

• Add watchlist button to stock-info page

• Redesign Payment card UI
• Refresh page when login/logout
• Show Alert: “Logged Out Successfully”, “Welcome, ${user}”
• Change ‘viewed’ state of notification when clicked
• Send notification when adding/removing stuff from watchlist

Challenges

• Figuring out a bug with the API calling too many times
• Figuring out issue with mongodb's find function that reorders the watchlist order
