The main points to consider when selecting a SLAM library:
Does is easily support the RPLIDAR?
Does it easily support the Kinect 1/2?
What programming language is it written in?
Does it carry out any data clean-up? E.g Filtering out noise in software
How well supported is it?
Does it come with any simulation software?
Is it easy to use?
There are probably also a lot more things to consider, this is what I can think of at the time of writing. The sooner we commit to a library the better.
