hi! thanks for reporting the issue!
the Chrome extension is, to the best of my knowledge, a full rewrite - I can't imagine that the legacy x11 functionality oneko uses is usable in that setting
do you also know the version number of xorg that you're running on? the graphics driver in use would be useful to know, too, or anything particularly unusual about your machine
I don't have a testing lab, so I can't promise I'll be able to reproduce or fix this anytime soon, but it's definitely good to know about. I'd been thinking about moving to more recent technology and this will influence that decision.
Hello!
Sorry for the very long delay... I'm on Arch Linux, and here are all the versions (everything up to date - I might have updated them since last message, but the issue remains):
I'm using optimus-manager
, and the overlapping frames occurs in any mode: nvidia and hybrid (both use nvidia
driver), integrated (which uses xf86-video-intel
).
Thank you for considering my issue. As already said tho, perhaps my only issue is my WM ?
Many times (about one each 6 frames), I see overlapping frames of the cat.![mpv-shot0001](https://github.com/IreneKnapp/oneko/assets/87860429/1c4a8727-ce7f-43be-99b7-af43cf227c4d)
And, more rarely, I see two frames (of the same cat) at 2 different positions on the screen:![mpv-shot0001 (1)](https://github.com/IreneKnapp/oneko/assets/87860429/647d3e20-a79f-4659-acf3-2d9ff1eb5602)
For some reasons the Oneko Neko Chrome extension does not have this duplicated/overlapped frames issue, so I'm wondering if anyone has the same problem as me.
Not sure if the problem is in the code or (somehow) in my computer, let me know how we could find that!
I'm using this window manager:
IceWM 3.4.7
. Feel free to ask more informations.
