@mjaris how would you want to go about this? Maybe we can find all instances that say 2017 and have info specific to the 2017 season and then set up a meeting with the TC program team to figure out what they want it to say instead? I am finding stuff like this around the site.

I did talk to the team about the key dates & timeline yesterday – it seems like most of the key dates (registration deadline, submission deadline, world pitch summit) are set, but we're waiting for confirmation on the registration opening to be confirmed before making any changes. Madhavi thinks she'll have that after the next sprint meeting.

It would be good to have a list of instances though and then to ask the team if need be!

I updated the Home page and Get Started page with the confirmed Registration Open date (October 18).

1. I'll confirm the other dates/deadlines with the team and then change the timeline. I think that the broad categories still make sense on the timeline and we just need to update the dates but I'll run it by the team.
2. SDG Goals - I need better clarification on what role these play in the program this year? Are we strongly encouraging students to build apps aligned with the SDGs?
3. Judging Rubric & Award Structure -- I think we can remove the buttons for now and when the rubric and award structure pages are ready update them? I'll follow up with Madhavi about the Award Structure.
4. I'll talk to Katie about which RAs are registered already, but I still need to do thinking around the chapters/RAs/local recognition. A quicker step might be to remove the list for a week or two.
5. World Pitch Summit Page - I need to think about how to archive the info on this page. (The answer is probably just "the infographic" but I want to think a bit more...)
6. Sponsors -- I need this info from Madhavi and Karla

2. Girls are no longer required to align their apps to SDG goals. I changed the curriculum to say that they are brainstorming tools. I can check and see what the program teams thinks of this.
3. I need to update the judging rubric. There are a few quick things I need to update on it so I will let you know when I do that.

2. That makes sense "Brainstorming tool" is the sort of messaging I was looking for. I guess the question is, do we want to keep them on the Get Started page? I'm concerned that by putting the SDGs and the award structure/judging rubric in the same color section we're suggesting that there's still a strong alignment of the goals with the judging process. Maybe we should remove the SDGs from the page?
3. We could set the Chapters page to private, but it's a menu item, so we'd want to change that too. or 5. We could just make the World Pitch Page private for now!

2. so the program team is good for taking down the SDG goals. I am going to suggest a rule in the rule book that says they are not needed this year just in case we get a bunch of questions.
