If you open task manager, do you have multiple instances of CompactGUI that have spawned? I did hit that issue while testing where certain actions (opening CompactGUI from the context menu while another instance was minimised) would create a new instance and permanently hang it in the background - that should have been fixed though.
nope, just one! it seemed to work on startup, but after i full close it and re-open it.. it breaks again.
Can you send me a screenshot of your settings.json file? Located in %IridiumIO%/CompactGUI
A couple of things:
Honestly it looks like the settings file is a bit corrupted, you don't have a skip list in there. If the above doesn't work; try deleting the settings file and re-launching CompactGUI (after killing it in task manager)
resetting the settings.json file fixed it... wtf would even cause that?
also if i clear the skip type list, it crashes btw CompactGUI.exe.20540.dmp
I can confirm this issue was fixed by resetting the settings. json
I'm using Windows 11 24H2.1000.
it doesn't seem to want to start after updating to 3.5 from 3.4. CompactGUI.exe_2024-07-09_18-54-50.dmp it seems like it reaches a breakpoint and doesn't continue bc it doesn't show up. no window, nothing.
