I was looking for info on Taming everywhere and couldnt find anything nor did anyone seem to know anything about it other than its INT based for Druids.
If i could plz start a post discussions here for it for whoever is going to work on it in the future.
As i read on how restrictive some class/stats are with profession i feel like Taming should not be a stat requirement to own a pet, but more along the lines of how you could Train the Pet, some people would love to spend alot of time questing and skilling up to train their pets, its a bit difficult in this game where you can have 100 skill in everything i guess.
In most games the DEX player with a ranged weapon has a pet, but on Dransik its the Magic user, i guess with more Hybrid items it would be different in the future.
Can attempting to tame something add the animal to the Bestiary.
Can the Bestiary show whats needed to tame the animal after successfully taming.
Can the Bestiary show the stats of tamed animals. (assuming there will be different types in the future with different uses)
Can there be a Training aspect to Pets, so that they are not a 1 dimensional war crime, i find that there are not many games anymore that teach people that Training you pet is a real thing that people should do, with many aspects to enhance the player and enable hybrid builds even further, aswell as quality of life effects people would be interested in for the sake of fun/entertainment.
Can there be a Limited amount of Training points per pet so they would not be an ultimate pet and give the passive abilities making the pet unique more prominent, but still enough points to enjoy having them as a pet for whatever purpose they are wanted for.
Would be cool if there was Breeding & Stables to store tamed/trained pets so you could alternate between having more pets.
Breeding would have chances of getting unique different color puppies that you can raise, train & rename.
Can some pets be treated as a Crafting station, like on ARK:SE how fire pets can be used to cook on, etc.
Can there be an "Active" Pet/Follower Limit, and possible visual of that limit on the character window or inventory or something.
Can all Tame-ables be given a number that when "Summoned" or made "Active" would add to the "Follow Limit" so you could eventually have multiple pets "Active" but would also not let it get out of control with unlimited pets and have further depth with "Pack Instincts" and type Combos.
Can there be quests to unlock the Stable NPC and further quests to increase the Slots within Stable for owning more pets, for a player Zoo kinda thing.
Can a possible new Item slot be added to equipment for Tamers like a Leash or Collar or Whistle that i can drag to the Action bar that can offer multiple different effects from Herding/Bolstering/Increase Active Pet Amount.
Can we unlock Emotes & Actions to Pet neutral animals in towns that Herd them away from door ways.
Can there be mechanics to make low level Tames not be made redundant by Higher level Tames, like an Underdog bonus based on the Tame skill.
Can some Tame-ables have passive abilities making them unique.
Can there be a new faction of NPC's made for questing and Lore for learning about all the animals in the world like National Geographic.
Can the Taming skill be gained actively with current Tamed animals in combat & with quests, instead of an old savage method of Discarding and Killing pets.
Can there be Pet action bar for Auto-Feeding that you could put the food into so the game didnt take up alot more clicking to eat.
Can Taming skill allow access to neutral animals in the world like Cows for milking or other interactable options.
Can there be a Mage specific bunch of Pets that are summoned from Scrolls like Elementals?
There are soooo many things i would like to know and try & give feedback on with having Pets.
I'v known many other people other than myself that play games that have pets mostly because i cannot have them where i live and just generally like them rather than eat them.
There are schools of Tame Training that would be cool to look into.Like:
