How to add a custom scenario (that works)? #4

I'm trying to use SolarForge to create a custom map for playing, but having a lot of problems being able to use it in-game/play it.

First, there's no documentation or anything about how to add the scenario to the game. I got another custom scenario from the mod-portal, found its files in the disk, then copied the mod folder to the AppData/Local/sins2/mods/ folder.

Opened all files inside and changed them accordingly (mod name, description, etc).

I changed the .scenario file in the scenarios/ folder with my own that SolarForge created. Then in-game, enable my local mod.

The new scenario appears in the list of maps, but its description is kinda incomplete: image

But I can live with that. The problem is trying to play it. Just creating a game in it shows this: image

So no skybox, all models (ships, planets, etc) are super white and that error/warning message...

How can I fix this and play my own custom scenarios?

Please post your log file and the first error you encounter. Also post a link to the mod on mod.io or a .zip mod here so we can debug, thanks.

The instructions on https://github.com/IroncladGames/tools/blob/main/docs/making_a_custom_scenario.md solved it.

Had to set the skybox_random and bake the map.

What I found weird with those instructions is:

Thanks for update, the version of the game is on the bottom right of the screen when you load the game.
