Ok - I tried to implement the functions mentioned in #20.

There's work left to do (Tests/Documentation/Vignettes...), but I'm sure some of those things can be better tackled by or with feedback by @Ironholds.

Oop - sorry! Yes! In the long-term I'm probably going to write a successor package, and will be sure to incorporate edit functionality.
