Extremely low frames on Vault hunters #187

I have been trying to play on a small server with friends, only 3 other people. I have not been able to get more than 7 frames on the curseforge modpack for seemingly no reason. I have a decent computer with 8 gigs dedicated to minecraft and low graphics settings and I still cant get more frames. I tried getting optifine but it crashes the client when after i put it in the mod folder. Im not sure what to do

Your first problem is giving minecraft 8gb of ram. Give it 4-5.

Iskall has stated many times that VH requires 6-8 GB to run.

Optifine isn't compatible with VH but you can add the Chlorine mod to get better FPS. Also, If you're on AMD hardware, try setting Mipmap level to 0.

I give it 5gb and run at 100+ fps. 8 is never required clientside. My server is also running on 5gb for 4 people and there's no tps issues.

Are you using AMD hardware? We had 2 people on our server with the same issue and it was fixed by going into video settings and turning Mipmap to 0. Hope that helps.
