I too am having this issue. Some villages will cause my game to freeze completely and I'm forced to kill the instance. Its not every village, and when I load the world back in several chunks of the village don't render. These villages all have the immersive engineering building with the crates out-front and inside. If I interact with any of the non-rendered blocks or stay near the village too long the game crashes again. This is in the early game before I have unlocked anything in a vault. Not sure if this behavior is different if I've Researched anything. Can test if it may be relevant.
@Fangsofamber Are you running Chlorine?
I recall having a very specific issue where chunks wouldn't render but only when I had Chlorine running. It's what ultimately lead me to remove it -- and I only noticed the problem in villages.
I am. I will try removing it and see if that fixes my issue.
I am also running Chlorine, and I had a suspicion that this was the issue. It was necessary to add this mod, otherwise VH is unplayable on my lousy computer.
It would be good to at least identify if removing Chlorine prevents the crashes or not. If you have to run it, you can try to work around the problem but this gives the devs the chance to at least try to track down the interaction causing the problem.
Removing Chlorine has prevented the crashes and all the village blocks now render correctly.
I seem to have the same problem but I have never used Chlorine? :o Any other workaround? :D

You need to remove jmt_mcmt
mods.
It may help, as after removing, I do not have issues with these villages anymore.
Bless you! It worked after removing the jmt_mcmt mods! :D Thanks alot!
*Describe the bug Every time I load a chunk that contains an immersive engineer village house, my game hard crashes. The only fix that I have found is to reload the game, and immeadiately turn around before it loads back in, then avoid the area all together, there are several around my starter base, so it makes exploring a pain
To Reproduce Steps to reproduce the behavior:
Expected behavior I can’t imagine that this is intended. I just want to steal their villagers.
Info (please complete the following information):
Additional context I’ve tried reinstalling the entire pack several time, and the individual IE mod.
