Although #462 pretty much fixes #460 for instances, tiles need to be checked. It seems we don't even have the UI fields for the tile properties either, even though they are being serialized. Finally, I am not sure if selection completely works with #462 and it should be double checked to ensure it's using the spatial hash to query and the visual to paint.
