So.. Wildest imaginations here: When playing you'd usually just select a node on the enemy battlefield and pray you hit something - and then go on from there. Now I'd like to spice this up. Idea A: You can choose one of your own surviving ships to fire the shot. Depending on the ship, the shape and damage of your shot changes. Idea B: You can upgrade a ship of your choosing, gaining it extra HP, damage or even upgrading its shot shape. Idea C: You can multiplayer the game with up to 4 players in a session, shooting whichever battlefield you'd like. Perhaps a semi-random catastrophe (tsunami, meteor, trump..) can hit the player who has the least damage to equalize the battlefield every now and then. Idea D: Economy. You can slowly move ships and attempt to peacefully trade your way to victory, buying the crew on the ships of your opponent after you gather enough funds by transporting goods from one side of the battlefield to the other. Everyone has a price, right? Idea E: New ship types. Perhaps even buyable with aforementioned economy. Or even elite crew or land/air units. Heck let's go wild.. Space units! Good luck hitting those 😏

Please add ideas if you have any or comment on any ideas. This is meant as a brainstorm issue to increase the game's overall fun factor.

I like it all πŸ˜„ Let's start with just one to keep it simple and build from there. Maybe start with your Idea A.

I really like your idea with the names πŸ˜‚ should be easy to implement as well! For the sake of discussion, I'm not much of a fan of turn timers, especially after playing Civilizations once with turn timers enabled.. but let's not throw away the idea and add a new idea to boot:

It's all depending on what kind of game you want to create. A Long/short game with a big/small selection of ships. Depending on the Power of the ships a game can be over quickly.

But lets go through your idea's A: it will be great to have beter/biger boats with Special shots B:Great idea, Who is paying? C: The game is based on chance, so i like a game where anyone can win. Also ad a event that a random ship gets highjacked by the spanish inquisition :) D: seaports/offshore drilling platforms will fund your economy. Seaport will need some kind of land Mass in the game. And it must be Big enough to hide your Ports on. But it will have a big impact on the gameplay. For alternative victory conditions i recommend a morale System with a bribe System. You may bribe a enemy boat with money, but the cost is effected by (boat size+current morale+ (enemy boats-your boats). Maybe you can upgrade your Buildings/ships with propoganda Towers to Lower the enemy moraal or create more money. E: i want a submarine!! A unit that starts on the enemy's bord. And slowly scouts out the spaces around him. And you can use that informatie to kill All enemy ships. To counter that you get a destroyer. It also scans the spaces around him but begins on your bord. When it finds the submarine it will sink it.
