SAGE parallel application crashes in the data_path class #20

It seems the class requires SAGE_DIRECTORY environment variable set.
Without the env variable, it incurs crash.

How about using current directory if SAGE_DIRECTORY is not set, with a warning 
message that says SAGE_DIRECTORY needs to be setup.
