In order to add LaTeX rendering capacity, KaTeX is needed as explained here rustdoc-katex-demo.
Local compilation is a little bit different than the docs.rs automated deploy. Still, the result is that the code behaves the same.
Several iterations on the commits and versions of the crate where required since updates to docs.rs are conducted exclusively while publishing a new version to crates.io
