1 month ago Nevermind, found the issue. When setting it up I accidently added ETF features to my skin and that seemed to be causing the black eye bug as once I removed them, it started working again.
I made sure all my stuff was up to date, I've restarted Minecraft several times, I even switched skins a few times, however nothing seems to work. It worked briefly when I first tried it out, however once I got on the second time, the eyes broke and stay in the broken black state no matter what I try. My skin uses the lower mid 2x2 eyes if that helps in any way.
