The Pneumonia Detection Using X-ray Images project aims to develop an automated system for identifying Pneumonia from chest X-ray images using deep learning techniques. The system utilizes a pre-trained DenseNet121 model, adapted for binary classification to distinguish between Pneumonia and normal cases. The model processes input X-ray images, which are preprocessed through resizing and normalization to enhance prediction accuracy. Real-time prediction is enabled, providing confidence scores and visualizing results via OpenCV. The interface is user-friendly, allowing users to view and interact with the predictions easily. This project demonstrates the practical application of AI in healthcare, offering a tool to assist healthcare professionals in making timely and accurate diagnoses, ultimately contributing to improved patient outcomes. Future work includes optimizing the model with a larger dataset, enhancing the user interface, and integrating the system into healthcare infrastructures for real-world application.
